Curriculum

In compliance with ACGME our curriculum is longitudinal and incorporates time spent in a variety of settings

Locations

Sports Medicine Offices

  • Diagnosis and management of a full spectrum of sports medicine/exercise related injuries and conditions.

    • Procedural experience including but not limited to: concussion management, fracture care, compartment pressure testing, & ultrasound guided procedures: PRP, TENEX, etc.

High School

  • Each fellow will be responsible for their own high school

  • Event coverage and scheduled training room visits

Collegiate/University

  • Time spent at both large scale and smaller collegiate environment:

    • Notre Dame

    • Holy Cross College

    • Bethel College

    • St. Mary‘s College

    • Indiana University - South Bend

Didactic Experience

  • Weekly lectures

  • Weekly interdisciplinary case conference

  • Monthly journal club

  • Radiology didactic

  • Longitudinal sports ultrasound experience

Travel

  • AMSSM and ACSM Annual Meetings

  • Fellows Research Conference (Optional)

  • South Bend-Notre Dame Winter Symposium (Chicago, IL)

  • Notre Dame Athletics event coverage (per attending physician invitation)
